!±8± Epson PowerLite 51c Video Projector
The Epson PowerLite 51c is surprisingly portable at 6.8 pounds, has a modest footprint of just 9.1 by 11.9 inches, and sports an affordable price tag without sacrificing quality. It comes with an impressive array of features and specs that provide ease of use and a crisp, rich image.
The 51c provides a full 1,200 lumens of brightness and a high 400:1 contrast ratio. With three 0.7-inch high aperture LCDs at 800 x 600 SVGA resolution each, image detail and color clarity are assured. A digital comb filter improves video clarity, increases contrast, and reduces digital errors.
The 51c has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and is driven by a TFT active matrix, which, combined with 24-bit color, produces high-quality images. Depending on the distance to the projection surface (usually 1 to 11 meters), screen size can range from 28 to 300 inches. The unit has a manual focus and digital zoom capability.
The 51c is ready to use right out of the box. It supports a number of video inputs and formats. For PC output, it has a mini D-sub 15-pin connector; for video, it supports NTSC, PAL, SECAM, and HDTV (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i) and has inputs for RCA and S-video, as well as USB, PS/2, and ADB mouse ports. RCA and mini stereo jack inputs are provided for audio, which can be heard either through the built-in monaural speaker or a connected audio system (via a mini-stereo jack output).
The 51c comes with an easy-to-use remote control and has a four-button control panel as well as mouse control. Epson provides a comprehensive two-year warranty on parts and labor.
